Banaz Barzan Mohammed is a PhD researcher in Chemistry at the College of Science, University of Kirkuk, Iraq. Her research interests focus on biochemistry, enzymology, oxidative stress, and the purification and characterization of enzymes, especially Glutathione S-Transferase (GST). She has conducted several studies related to leukemia, environmental pollution biomarkers, antioxidant systems, and drug–enzyme interactions. Her current academic work includes enzymatic kinetics, thermodynamic analysis, and biomedical applications of enzymes. She is also interested in nanotechnology applications in biochemistry and environmental health sciences. In addition to research activities, she works in academic teaching and scientific supervision.
