Short Biography
Hiba Kh. Mahmood is a Materials Engineer and Academic Researcher at the University of Technology, Iraq. She earned her B.Sc. in Polymeric and Petrochemical Materials Engineering (2017–2018), showcasing early expertise through her graduation project on natural particle-reinforced polymer composites for denture bases.
Appointed as a faculty member in 2019, she supervised the Chemistry Laboratory, conducted extensive material characterization testing—including tensile, impact, flexural, fatigue, FTIR, and Shore D hardness analyses—and trained undergraduate students. Her administrative leadership includes roles in Scientific Affairs, IT and Statistics, CBRN teams, and government academic evaluation committees, earning her multiple ministerial and institutional awards.
Currently a Master’s researcher (admitted 2024–2025), her advanced work focuses on hybrid polymer composites. She recently presented her research at the TMREES26 International Conference, with her master's-derived paper accepted for publication in the AIP Conference Proceedings.
