Short Biography

Dr. Adelaali BOUMAARAF is an Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences) in the Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, at Abbes Lagrour University of Khenchela, Algeria. He received his Engineering degree and Magister degree in Electronics from the University of Setif, both with highest honors. He earned his State Doctorate (Ph.D.) from the University of Setif with a thesis on the optimization of a system converter for photovoltaic pumping systems.

Early in his career, Dr. Boumaaraf worked at the Solar Equipment Testing Station in Adrar, Algeria, successively as Research Attaché (1998–2001), Research Associate (2002–2003), and Head of the Photovoltaic Energy Division (2002–2003). He has held several academic leadership positions, including Director of the UFC Continuing Education Center of Khenchela (2007–2021), Dean of the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences (2012–2014), Director of the SETI Institute (2006–2007), and Head of the Computer Science Department (2003–2006). His research focuses on power electronics, FPGA-based PWM control, and PV pumping systems. He has led national research projects (PNR) and published on internet-based monitoring and control of renewable energy systems.
